GOTCHA! 3.06
GOTCHA! 3.06 is a 32-bit Windows video surveillance software application that runs on Windows 95, 98, Me, NT 4.0, 2000, and XP. As shown above, GOTCHA! has caught an unsuspected thief stealing a laptop. When the owner of the laptop returns they will simply hit the playback button on GOTCHA! to see who took their laptop and at what time. The theft could have been avoided altogether if the user had GOTCHA! play a warning audio file upon detecting motion. The actual size of GOTCHA! is larger than shown above.

site! Setup GOTCHA! to post (using FTP) images created
when motion is detected. Acts just like a webcam but displays
the detected motion!

Use GView (beta version) to call GOTCHA! on remote PC
to view the remote live or recorded video over the telephone
line. Refer to Help file for setup and more details.
- Password Protection allows
you to hide GOTCHA! upon startup within the system tray as a
unsuspecting icon. If clicked on, it will prompt the user for
a password.
- Playback the entire day's
events (or week's events) in one video timestamped file using
minimal disk storage!

- Use the Timer to schedule
when GOTCHA! should observe! Schedule multiple
sessions per day.

butterfly emerging from its cocoon or a seedling sprouting from
the dirt by using GOTCHA!'s Dynamic Profile mode of recording.

- Video capture card or a standalone digital camera that complies with Microsoft's Video for Windows (VFW) (Click here for camera list).
- PC with 90 MHz processor. (133Mhz recommended).
- 16Mbyte RAM (32Mbyte RAM or better recommended).
- Windows 95, 98, Me, NT 4.0, 2000, and XP operating system.
- At least 10 Mbytes disk space for storage of GOTCHA! clips.
- Installation takes up approximately 3.2Mbytes.
- Modem (19200 baud or faster) for pager, GView, and SendIt. (Refer to GOTCHA!'s Help file on how to step up GView and GOTCHA! for transmitting video.)
WARNING: When setting up for transmitting video, different modems sometime have incompatibilities when trying to connect to one another. Perform tests before putting into actual use.
